Welcome!

The fact that you're here means you've already started the process of creating change in your life. Choosing to open up, be vulnerable, and connect with a therapist takes courage. Let's be honest—talking to a complete stranger about your thoughts and feelings can feel a little awkward at first. That's completely normal. I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live authentically and create a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your experiences, work through challenges, and move toward the life you want for yourself. Therapy is a chance to better understand yourself, heal, grow, and build on your strengths. Along the way, there may be tears, hard conversations, and hopefully a few laughs too. I'm honored to be part of that journey and look forward to working together.

I strive to create a nonjudgmental, welcoming space where you can freely explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Because every individual is unique, I use a variety of therapeutic approaches and tailor treatment to meet your specific needs and goals. My style is grounded in empathy, compassion, curiosity, and humor. Together, we will identify your strengths, build upon them, and develop strategies that support meaningful and lasting change.

My training:

I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Michigan School of Social Work. Since 2003, I have worked with adolescents, adults, and couples, helping people navigate life's challenges and build meaningful change. I also spent more than ten years as a pediatric hospital social worker, supporting children and families through complex medical and emotional experiences. My approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Family Systems, and Motivational Interviewing. I enjoy continuing to learn and grow as a clinician, and I regularly incorporate new skills and evidence-based practices into my work.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with friends, family and my pets. I love reading, concerts, movies, television, museums, trying new restaurants, and traveling. Travel, in particular, helps me reconnect with myself. It offers perspective, encourages me to stay present, and reminds me of the importance of embracing each moment as it comes.
