Substance Abuse Assessments and Driver’s License Evaluations in Plymouth, MI
If you have been charged with a substance use related offense you may be required to obtain an alcohol screening or substance abuse evaluation. You will need to satisfy the substance abuse evaluation before you can get your drivers license restored.
Being Human Group is recognized by the State of Michigan to conduct these assessments. One of our clinicians will complete a substance use disorder evaluation form which must be submitted to the Michigan Secretary of State for consideration at your driver’s license restoration hearing.
If your teen has been caught at school with substances in their possession, or failed a drug screening for a sport, Being Human Group can complete an assessment and letter for return to school.
Being Human Group also offers individual therapy for substance related concerns for both teens and adults.

Substance abuse evaluations in Michigan may be required to reinstate your driver’s license or remove restrictions, or it may be required by your school or sports team to rejoin after an incident.

A substance abuse evaluation can take up to 2 hours.
What questions are asked during a substance abuse assessment?
During your evaluation you will be asked about your use history, you will complete the SASSI-4 which is an online assessment tool as required by the state, you will answer questions about any treatment you have completed, if you have been a part of any support groups or programs, and how you plan to maintain sobriety.
Can you do a substance abuse evaluation online, and how much does it cost?
Substance abuse evaluations can be completed virtually or in person. They are not covered by insurance, and cost $250.
