Get to know Erin

Hey There! I’m Erin.

Let’s be honest: asking for help can be tough, and telling your life story to a complete stranger can feel intimidating. I hope to alleviate some of these uncomfy feelings by telling you a bit about me as a therapist (and human) to ensure I am a good fit for you.

Like most therapists, I did not enter this profession because I had a so-called "perfect" life. My own lived experiences are the reason I strive to create a non-judgmental environment where my clients can feel safe, understood, and accepted. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, meaning I will sit with you through all of the ups and downs of life, offering support as we work together to build resilience and create a life that’s worth living.

In the therapy room:

I work with individuals aged 10 and above, couples, and families. I am passionate about helping clients navigate anxiety, trauma, relational stressors, substance use disorders, and life transitions.

My specialty areas include:

My training:

I earned my BSW and MSW with a minor in Psychology from Wayne State University (Go Warriors!). I have experience working in both clinical and school settings. I am a certified Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapist helping individuals living with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Whether you want to conquer your fear of snakes, gain skills to tolerate that one annoying coworker, or process childhood trauma—I’m here to help.

You can find me spending time with my partner, going on walks with my dog, watching stand-up comedy, wandering the aisles of Target, or trying a new hobby (after getting bored with the previous one).
